Afghanistan: Three cops killed in gunmen attack

Herat/IBNS: A gunmen attack incident in Afghanistan's Herat city on Sunday left at least three policemen killed, media reports said.

At least three policemen were killed in a gunmen attack in Herat city on Sunday night, provincial police chief Gen. Aminullah Amarkhil told Tolo News.

The incident happened on Sunday night after a number of gunmen attacked Herat city’s PD10’s police, Amarkhil told the news portal, “two gunmen were killed in the shooting and a number of them were wounded in the clashes.”  

“The gunmen escaped from the area, but police have started search operations to find the attackers,” he said.

No group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
