Afghanistan: Taliban terrorists fire seven mortars on Maimana City which kills 1 civilian, leaves a child hurt

Kabul: At least one person was killed and two civilians, including a child, were hurt as Taliban terrorists fired seven mortars on Maimana City of Afghanistan's Faryab province on Sunday, officials said.

"Today evening, Taliban terrorists fired seven mortars on Maimana City of Faryab province, in which 1 civilian martyred & two others wounded including a child," Afghanistan's Ministry of Interior tweeted.

Afghanistan is witnessing a resurgence of violence in recent times as foreign forces are leaving the country.

The Taliban has captured several regions in Afghanistan.
