Afghanistan: Taliban terrorists attack police post, 7 cops killed

Kabul, Jan 11 (IBNS): Taliban terrorists attacked a check post in Afghanistan's Khwaja Ghar district and left at least seven policemen killed, media reports said on Friday.

The attack left three policemen injured.

Jawad Hijri, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the militants stormed the check-post in Bazaar area of the district late Wednesday night, killing six local police and one national police personnel and injuring three others.

Without giving any figures, Hijri told the news agency the assault was repulsed and several rebels were killed and injured. 

The Taliban did not comment on the incident so far.
