Kabul, Feb 12 (IBNS) :A member of the Red Unit of Taliban was killed along with several others during the operations in Badghis and Uruzgan provinces.

Khaama Press reported quoting military sources that sveral other militants were also wounded during the same operations.

The sources further added Afghan Special Forces conducted a raid in Badghis province killing 10 Taliban fighters and wounding 17 others.

A Taliban Red Unit militant and 12 other Taliban fighters were killed by multiple airstrikes in Tarin Kot city of Uruzgan province, the sources added.

“Although Taliban fighters are present in Uruzgan, their numbers have dwindled because of recent friendly forces offensive engagements. Last week more than 20 Taliban fighters were killed in the region,” the sources said adding that commandos also destroyed multiple Taliban operations centers.
