| @indiablooms | Mar 18, 2022, at 03:55 pm

Kabul: Th Taliban government of Afghanistan has  suspended the operations of the insurance companies in Afghanistan, media reports said on Friday.

In an official letter sent to the insurance companies, the acting government has announced that all the activities of the public and private insurance firms must be halted until a future notice, reports Khaama Press.

The letter says the spirit of the insurance industry is under discussion in the Science Academy of Afghanistan to decide whether it is against the Islamic practices or not.

Afghanistan started witnessing a financial crisis after  the collapse of the Afghanistan government in the hands of Taliban on Aug 15 of last year.

The Taliban came to power in the country that day.

A large number of  organizations and projects were shut down since the Taliban came to power in the country.
