Afghanistan: Suicide attack kills 13

Jalalabad, Jan 17 (IBNS): A suicide attacker blew himself up in Afghanistan's Jalalabad area on Sunday which killed 13 people, media reports said.

According to reports, the attacker blew himself up at the middle of a meeting at the home of a public representative.

The incident left 14 others injured.

The bomber struck the guesthouse belonging to a provincial council member, Obaidullah Shinwari, the son of a prominent tribal elder Malik Osman, in the third police district at 10.30am, the Nangarhar governor’s spokesman was quoted as saying by Pajhwok Afghan News.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
