Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani reaches Kandahar

Kabul, Oct 23 (IBNS): Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani on Tuesday reached southern Kandahar province in the country.

Shah Hussain Mortazavi, deputy presidential spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the president would offer sympathy and condolences to the family of the former police chief Gen. Abdul Raziq.

He said Ghani will extend condolences to the people of the province.

Kandahar police chief, Gen. Abdul Raziq, provincial National Directorate of Security (NDS) chief and Gen. Abdul Momin Hussainkhel were killed and several other people including Governor Zalmai Wesa were hurt during an insider attack while a high level security meeting was held in Afghanistan recently.
