Kabul: Police have recovered two doctors, who were abducted, from Afghanistan's central Kapesa province on Friday, media reports said.

Unidentified gunmen kidnapped Dr.Hashmatullah and Dr. Azizurrahman from the Sir Sayyad Emergency Hospital in Bagram district last Monday, reports Pajhwok Afghan News.

In a statement from Parwan Police Headquarters it was said security forces recovered the two doctors from the Shokhi village of Mahmood Raqi, the capital of neighbor Kapesa province, the news agency reported.

The abductors had demanded USD 100,000 against the release of the two doctors, media reports said.
