Kabul, Jan 27 (IBNS): The Afghan and Pakistani armies engaged in a round of firing on Thursday evening, Khaama Press reported.

The Incident was preceded by another round of fire from the Afghan camp, who directed it towards a group of militants entering from the other side.

It took place in Afghanistan's Spin Boldak district of southern Kandahar province, which is near the Durand Line.

At least an army man died in the cross firing, while two others suffered injuries, the agency reported.

An Afghan spokesperson was also quoted as saying that the Pakistani Army open fired on their Afghan counterparts following the latter's decision to prevent the militants from entering their country.
