Afghanistan: NDS raids Taliban lair, kills one, foils attack

Kabul, May 18 (IBNS): The Afghan National Directorate of Security (NDS), the country's central intelligence agency reported the killing of a Taliban insurgent on Wednesday, following a raid on one the terrorist organisation's hideout, thereby preventing an attack from taking place, local Khaama Press reported.

The raid was conducted in Mussahi district of Kabul, the national capital.

The NDS further reported that the insurgent killed in the raid was involved in several terrorist activities.

At least three Improvised Explosive Device (IED), ammunition and documents supporting the Taliban propaganda were confiscated during the operation.

The Taliban is yet to comment on the report.
