Kabul: Afghanistan security forces have arrested six terrorists, including the finance manager of terror group Islamic State, media reports said on Wednesday.

They were arrested from Afghanistan's eastern Nangarhar province.

Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the Islamic State’s finance chief in Afghanistan, was arrested in Jalalabad.

He said the arrest came during an overnight operation by the National Directorate of Security (NDS) personnel in Bezakamalati area of Jalalabad’s fourth police district. Three other suspects were also nabbed.

Khogyani told the news agency the NDS operatives also captured two Taliban fighters in Jalalabad and Torkham Township.

One of the detainees is a resident of Hesarak district currently residing in Pakistan, and the other from Kunar province, reported the news agency.
