Afghanistan forces kill over 1500 terrorists during operations in previous weeks

Kabul: Afghanistan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) spokesperson General Ajaml Shinwarai has said more than 1500 terrorists were killed in operations conducted by security forces in the country in the last few weeks.

He said 800 terrorists were injured in the operations.

He said over 150 operations were conducted by security forces in the previous weeks.

During the operations conducted in 20 provinces, 16 militants were taken hostages, Shinwarai was quoted as saying by Khaama Press.

The Army conducted land operations, airstrikes, and artillery shells.

The spokesperson of ANDSF said that the forces have been out of defensive stance and are currently in the offensive one while in the latter stance some attacks have also been repelled.
