Afghanistan: Airstrikes kill Taliban’s Red Unit commander for Takhar

Kabul, July 6 (IBNS): Airstrikes conducted by Afghanistan security forces in Takhar province of the country killed the Red Unit commander of the Taliban group, media reports said.

The 209th Shaheen Corps in a statement said the security forces conducted the airstrikes in Baharak district of Takhar, Khaama Press reported.

The 209th Shaheen Corps told the news agency the airstrikes killed Mawlai Aziz, the Red Unit commander of Taliban for Taliban.

12 fighters of Mawlavi Aziz  were also killed in the airstrikes.
