Afghanistan: 62 people freed from Taliban prison

Kabul: Afghanistan security forces have rescued  62 people from Taliban prison in Baghlan-e Markazi district, country's Ministry of Defence said on Wednesday.

"62 people including 26 civilians and 36 security members were freed from Taliban terrorists’ prison by commandos Special Forces in Baghlan-e Markazi district of Baghlan province last night," Afghanistan Ministry of Defence said in a statement.

The Ministry said four terrorists were killed in the incident.

During the operation, a large number of their weapons and ammunition were destroyed.
