Afghanistan: 6 ISIS media activists arrested in Kabul city

Kabul, Apr 5 (IBNS): Security officials in Afghanistan have arrested  a group of six media activists of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) from Kabul city, media reports said on Friday.

A spokesman of the National Directorate of Security Haris Jebran told Khaama Press the media activists of ISIS group were arrested during a special operation of Afghan intelligence operatives. 

Jebran told the Afghanistan-based news agency that the detained individuals were involved in pro-ISIS activities in social media networks, mainly spreading propagandas in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Telegram. 

He further told the news agency that the Afghan intelligence operatives arrested 10 other ISIS facilitators during a separate operation in Nangarhar province.

The Afghan intelligence operatives also confiscated 12,500 kilograms of explosives during the same operation, Jebran told Khaama Press.
