New Delhi/UNI: Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Monday extended the ban on international flights, barring exceptions mentioned by the government, till September 30.

In a circular, the DGCA extended the period of the order issued in this regard from August 31 to September 30.

It clarified that the order will not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights approved by the DGCA. Also, regular international flights may be allowed on select routes on a case to case basis.

International flights in the country have been closed since March 22 to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Domestic flights were also banned since March 25, but a limited number of domestic flights had started from May 25.
