The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi has announced that regular passport, visa and attestation appointments across the UAE will be unavailable from June 26 to June 30 as authorities transition to a new outsourced service provider.

According to an NDTV report, the temporary suspension is expected to affect more than 3.5 million Indians residing in the UAE.

In an official statement, the Embassy said: "The Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi wishes to inform that the new service provider for Indian consular services (Passport, Visa & Attestation) in UAE, M/s Al Hind Tours and Travel LLC, will be assuming responsibility to deliver outsourced services from 1 July 2026."

It further stated: "As a part of the transition process, the current service providers in the UAE — BLS International (Passport and Visa services) and SGIVS Global (Attestation services) — will cease accepting new applications with effect from the close of business on Thursday, 25 June 2026."

The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai will continue to provide emergency consular services, including passport, visa and attestation-related assistance, during the transition period.

Applicants requiring emergency services can contact the Indian missions through the following channels:

• Toll-free number: 800 46342 (800 INDIA)

• WhatsApp: +971 54 309 0571

• Email: pbsk.dubai@mea.gov.in

When will the new service commence?

According to the Embassy's statement, the new appointment portal for passport, visa and attestation services will be launched by M/s Al Hind Tours and Travel LLC on July 1, 2026. Applicants will be able to book appointments and access consular services through the new platform once it becomes operational.
