Toronto/IBNS: Air Canada announced a multi-year cabin renewal programme that will upgrade interiors, technology and inflight amenities across Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge and Air Canada Express.

The initiative includes expanded free Wi-Fi, new seating and updated entertainment systems.

“When customers step onto an Air Canada aircraft, they should instantly feel a sense of comfort, care, and pride,” said Mark Nasr, Air Canada’s executive vice president and chief operations officer.

All Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft in the mainline fleet will transition to Air Canada Rouge through 2026.

The updated Rouge cabins will include 12 business-class seats, 18 extra-legroom economy seats and 147 standard economy seats, all with recline, seat-back screens and free Wi-Fi for members on board.

At the same time, all Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft will remain in the mainline fleet and receive new interiors, modern inflight entertainment and upgraded Wi-Fi.

Fifteen A321s have already been refurbished.

Air Canada will continue expanding its Airbus A220-300 fleet, with 26 additional aircraft on order.

New deliveries beginning in March 2026 will feature updated interiors and larger XL overhead bins.

Air Canada Express planes operated by Jazz, including the Embraer E175 and Mitsubishi CRJ-900, will also receive the new cabin standard from 2026.

Earlier-announced renovations to 25 Dash 8-400s include new seating, redesigned interiors and Wi-Fi on aircraft operating from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.

Air Canada will also introduce complimentary beer, wine and snacks on all North American flights across its mainline, Rouge and Express operations.
