Over 300 flights cancelled after Tokyo airport collision killing 5; the plane was cleared to land

Tokyo/UNI/IBNS: Airlines were forced to cancel over 300 flights following the collision between a Japan Coast Guard aircraft and a Japan Airlines passenger plane at Tokyo's Haneda Airport on Tuesday evening even as reports said the plane was cleared to land ahead of the tragedy.

Tokyo/IBNS: Five people aboard a Japan Coast Guard aircraft died Tuesday when it hit a Japan Airlines passenger plane on the ground resulting in a fiery collision at Tokyo's Haneda airport, media reports said.

Tokyo, May 8 (Xinhua/UNI) Japan Airlines (JAL) officials said Wednesday they have overcome a glitch in their passenger check-in system for domestic flights, although 32 domestic flights were canceled and 2,500 passengers were adversely affected.
