UN sanctions committee warns of threats of IS and al-Qaida

United Nations, May 21 (Xinhua/UNI) A UN sanctions committee against the Islamic State (IS) and al-Qaida warned on Monday that the IS is evolving into a global network while al-Qaida may grow stronger.

New York, Feb 12 (IBNS): Though attacks were down last year, a new United Nations report to the Security Council on Monday shows that ISIL is still a global threat, despite evolving into a “covert” terrorism network, with countries continuing to face challenges from the growing scourge of violent extremism.
