Dhaka:  Former lawmaker of the Netherlands Harry van Bommel has urged Pakistan to formally declare the atrocities the country committed during Bangladesh's Liberation War as genocide.

Dhaka: Bangladesh Muktijuddha Mancha handed a memorandum to the United Nations Missions in Dhaka for Secretary-General Antonio Guterres when they demanded trial of the Pakistani Army which was involved in the killings and Genocide during the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971.

Dhaka: The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 on Thursday sentenced one person to death penalty and three others to imprisonment till death for committing war crimes at Lakhai Upzila in Habiganj during the Liberation War of 1971.
