Religious leader Yati Narsinghanand arrested in Haridwar hate speech case

Haridwar/IBNS: Yati Narsinghanand, one of the religious leaders who organized an event in Uttarakhand's Haridwar in December that called for the genocide of Muslims, was arrested on Saturday, becoming the next person to be arrested after an intervention by the Supreme Court.

New Delhi/IBNS: The Supreme Court on Wednesday asked the Uttarakhand government to reply to a petition on the alleged hate speech at a religious event in the hill state within 10 days, media reports said.
