TikTok, WeChat and 59 other Chinese apps permanently banned in India

New Delhi/IBNS: TikTok, WeChat and 59 other Chinese apps, banned by the government in June 2020, will be permanently inaccessible in India, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has decided, said media reports.

New Delhi, Apr 17 (IBNS): The Indian government has directed IT giants Google and Apple to take down popular Chinese short-video mobile application TikTok from their app stores after there were allegations that the app is a source of cultural degradation.
