Tamil Nadu Cabinet recommends releasing of seven convicts in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case

Chennai, Sept 9 (IBNS): The Tamil Nadu Cabinet on Sunday decided to recommend state Governor  Banwarilal Purohit  to order the release of seven convicts linked to the assassination of former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

New Delhi, Aug 10 (IBNS): The central government on Friday rejected the Tamil Nadu government's plea to release seven convicts in the assassination case of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, media report said.
