Will not air non-certified content in NaMo TV, BJP assures ECI

New Delhi, Apr 13 (UNI) Weeks after controversy erupted over the surreptitious launch of NaMo TV, a 24 hour DTH (Direct – to Home) channel service to telecast Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech and programmes of the ruling party, the BJP has assured Election Commission that it will air only pre-authorised content.

New Delhi, Apr 11 (IBNS): The Election Commission on Thursday barred NaMo TV, a platform dedicated to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speeches 24*7, from airing any political content without certification.

New Delhi, Apr 10 (IBNS): As the country is gearing for voting for the first phase of Lok Sabha polls, NaMo TV, a channel promoting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP ahead of the Lok Sabha elections that begin on Thursday, might face similar restrictions that have been applied by the Election Commission on the release of a biopic based on the PM, NDTV reported.
