Missionaries of Charity debunks Mamata tweet, says 'none of its bank accounts was frozen by MHA'

Kolkata/IBNS: After the Central government, the Missionaries of Charity (MoC) too on Monday evening clarified that "none of its bank accounts had been frozen by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs", debunking the tweet by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and others claiming so on the micro-blogging site.

Kolkata/New Delhi/IBNS: Hours after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had accused the BJP-led Central government of "freezing" all the bank accounts of Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity (MoC), the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Monday evening claimed it did not freeze any account of the charity founded by the late Nobel Peace laureate. The MoC also later issued a statement denying any freezing of their accounts.
