Two lakh Indian Muslim pilgrims to perform Hajj 2023 for first time next year

New Delhi: Haj Committee of India (HCoI) has taken a major decision for 2023 where two lakh pilgrims will be allowed to perform the sacred pilgrimage from India with special focus on women, media reports said on Friday.

The scheme aims to empower students from minority communities and prepare them for competitive examinations, so as to improve their participation in public and private employment. It provides financial assistance for free coaching to notified minority students in selected coaching institutes.
