India hands over vaccine Thailand under Quad Vaccine Partnership

New Delhi: Under the Quad’s flagship Vaccine Partnership, a consignment of COVID vaccines was handed over jointly by the Ambassador of India, Suchitra Durai, Ambassador of Australia, Allan McKinnon, Ambassador of Japan, Nashida Kazuya and the Chargé d'Affaires of the United States of America, James Wayman to the the Kingdom of Thailand.

India should be provided resources to make vaccines, says top US disease expert

India, the largest vaccine maker in the world, should be provided with resources to make its own vaccines or donate vaccines, Antony Fauci, the top US expert on COVID-19, has said.  He also said that all of India should “shut down,” as some its states have done, to break the chain of transmission.  Fauci suggested that a priority for India should be to set up field hospitals like China had done.
