GST Council slashes tax on 40 items, rates cut from 28 to 18 to nil

 New Delhi, Dec 22 (IBNS) The Goods & Services Tax (GST) Council on Saturday reduced GST rates drastically as it removed seven items from attracting GST rate of 28% and it some cases it was reduced to five percent to nil from the existing 28 percent. About 23 common use items like TV sreens, movie tickets, computers and power banks were included in the cut providing relief to common people.
