Ram Navami clashes: 6-member fact-finding team stopped by West Bengal Police from entering violence-hit Hooghly

Kolkata: West Bengal police prevented a six-member fact-finding team, including former Patna High Court Chief Justice Narasimha Reddy, from visiting Hooghly district, which recently witnessed communal clashes surrounding Ram Navami celebrations, news agency ANI reported.

Kolkata/UNI: A four-member fact-finding committee of BJP, all women, on Friday left this city on way to Hanskhali in West Bengal's Nadia district to meet the bereaved family members of the 14-year-old girl, who was gang-raped and murdered in which a TMC leader's son was arrested as one of the prime accused.

New Delhi/Kolkata/IBNS: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Jagat Prakash Nadda on Wednesday formed a five-member fact finding committee to visit Hanskhali in West Bengal's Nadia district, where a minor was allegedly raped by a Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader's son.
