Indian Navy's warship INS Sumitra rescues hijacked Iranian fishing vessel

In a swift action, Indian Navy's Warship INS Sumitra, successfully rescued all 17 crew members of an Iranian flagged Fishing Vessel (FV) Iman, that was hijacked by pirates along the East Coast of Somalia and Gulf of Aden.

Chennai/New Delhi, Jul 10 (IBNS): The Ministry of Defence announced on Monday that the 21st edition of the MALABAR series of exercises between the Indian and US Navies, along with the participation of Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF), has started on Monday and will continue until July 17, 2017.
