Madras HC raps District Registrar in Greenpeace India case

Chennai, Aug 4 (IBNS): The Madras High Court on Tuesday served an order forcing the Tamil Nadu State District Registrar of Society to acknowledge Greenpeace's response to its show cause notice as well as allow access to public records and respond to the NGO's questions.

New Delhi, June 11 (IBNS): Non-governmental environmental organization Greenpeace on Wednesday dismissed a purported report by the Intelligence Bureau (IB) to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) against several NGOs and said it was 'designed to muzzle and silence civil society who raise their voices against injustices to people and the environment'.
