Kharif sowing area for onion set to be 27% higher than last year; 30% sowing completed in Karnataka

New Delhi: Good and timely monsoon rains this year has provided a big boost for kharif crops, including onion and other horticultural crops like tomato and potato, the Ministry of Consumer Affairs said.
