Retail tomato prices fell by 22.4% month-on-month in November, driven by improved supplies across the country, the Consumer Affairs Ministry said on Sunday.

New Delhi: The Central government began selling tomatoes at Rs 65 per kilogram across 50 locations in Delhi on Monday in response to skyrocketing prices, which have exceeded Rs 90 per kg in the Delhi-NCR region ahead of the festive season, media reports said.

New Delhi/IBNS: The price of tomatoes at the all-India level, as of December 21 dropped by 12.89 percent as compared to last one week and by 23.69 percent as compared to last one month, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution said Wednesday.
