Global economy to lose billions without action to stop ocean acidification, UN report warns

New York, Oct 9 (IBNS) The global economy could be losing as much as $1 trillion annually by the end of the century if countries do not take urgent steps to stop ocean acidification, says a United Nations report launched on Wednesday in Pyeongchang, Republic of Korea (ROK).

New York, May 22 (IBNS): The global economy is expected to strengthen over the next two years, despite a downgrade of growth prospects for some developing countries and transition economies, and "stubbornly slow" job growth, according to the United Nations World Economic Situation and Prospects 2014 mid-year update launched on Wednesday in New York.
