India, World Bank sign $300 million agreement to scale up India’s energy efficiency program

Kolkata / New Delhi, Aug 28 (IBNS): The Government of India, the Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL),  and the World Bank on Monday signed a $220 million Loan Agreement and a $80 million Guarantee Agreement for the India Energy Efficiency Scale-Up Program. 

Energy Efficiency initiatives implemented by EESL help India save over 3,700 crore kWh of energy consumption

New Delhi/ Kolkata, Dec 13 (IBNS): Energy efficiency initiatives being implemented by Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) have cumulatively led to energy savings of over 3,700 crore kWh and a reduction of 3 crore tonnes of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
