New York, Dec 23 (Just Earth News/IBNS) The United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) welcomed an agreement by the World Trade Organization (WTO) to move towards eliminating agricultural export subsidies, while noting that differences remain over other measures meant to create equitable global trading conditions, particularly for developing countries.

New York, Aug 25 (IBNS) At the start of the World Water Week conference in Stockholm, Sweden, the United Nations agriculture agency on Monday announced that it would develop a new open-access data portal that uses satellite imagery to provide insights into more efficient and productive use of agricultural waters - helping water-scarce countries in the Near East and North Africa better manage the resource.
