Air India disinvestment: Govt to invite bids by end of March; Tata Group, SpiceJet main contenders after consortium of employees disqualified

Mumbai/IBNS: The government is planning to invite financial bids for disinvestment of national carrier Air India by the end of this month with the aim to complete the privatisation process in the second part of this calendar year.

New Delhi, Nov 16 (IBNS):  Tata Sons, the holding company of Tata Group, on Friday clarified that it is in preliminary talks with Jet Airways and no proposal to acquire a stake in the carrier has been made so far.

Mumbai, Dec 22 (IBNS): The National Company Law Tribunal on Thursday did not grant any interim reliefs in the Company Petition by ousted chairman Cyrus Mistry, said Tata Sons after Mistry filed a petition against the salt-to-software conglomerate before the quasi-judicial body to either replace the company's current board, or appoint a retired Supreme Court judge as non-executive chairman.
