Wrestler Narsingh Yadav fails second dope test: Reports
New Delhi, July 27 (IBNS): Amid reports that his food was spiked resulting in wrestler Narsingh Yadav testing postive for a banned substance, the athlete has failed a second dope test too, said media reports.
The second dope test where he again was tested positive came as a blow to Yadav's hope for participating in the Rio Olympics.
According to media reports, the second dope test conducted on July 5 by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) has also dismissed any tampering of his food as alleged by him.
However, earlier reports said an accused, who may have 'spiked' athlete Narsingh Yadav's food, leading to him testing positive for a banned substance, has been identified.
The accused is a teenager and was identified by SAI's Sonepat Complex's chef.
The teenager has reportedly confessed to his crimes, reports said.
Yadav, who is likely to be replaced by Parveen Rana in the Rio Olympics, filed a written complaint in a police station near Panipat on Wednesday.
"I am ready to face the NADA committee because I am confident that there is foul play. I want the guilty to be caught because I have never failed a dope test," the wrestler told NDTV.
He has also been handed a provisional suspension.
