Winning Wimbledon title was special: Sania Mirza

Hyderabad, July 14 (IBNS): Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza on Tuesday said winning the Wimbledon doubles title was a 'special' moment for her and she was honoured to share the win with the entire nation.

"Wimbledon was really special and I am honoured to share this win with the entire country," Sania Mirza said here.

Pairing with Swiss star Martina Hingis, Sania won the Wimbledon doubles title last week.

"Every slam win has been special to me," she said.

Speaking on her partner Martina, Sania said : "I must say that together we make a really good pair."

This was the first time Sania won the senior Wimbledon title.
