West Bengal State Ranking Ten-pin Bowling Tournament will be hosted in Kolkata

Kolkata/IBNS: The four-day long West Bengal State Ranking Ten-pin Bowling Tournament is scheduled to start on April 22, 2021, in Kolkata.

It is being organised by the Bengal Ten-pin Bowling Association which is affiliated to Tenpin Bowling Federation of India.

In ten-pin bowling, a bowler rolls a bowling ball down a wooden or synthetic lane toward ten pins positioned evenly in four rows in an equilateral triangle at the far end of the lane.

The idea is to knock down all ten pins on the first roll of the ball, or at the second try at the most.

The organisers said they will be adhering to all pandemic related guidelines and have even curtailed the number of bowlers at every lane.

Assistant Secretary Beni Gopal Lahoti said, “Instead of two bowlers per lane, we will allow only one bowler; seating arrangements for the players will be done keeping distancing norms in mind and all the bowlers will bring their own towel and sanitizer and other accessories.”

There will be three rounds in all, with the knockout round scheduled for April 25.
