Auckland, Feb 8 (IBNS): Indian skipper Rohit Sharma on Friday said his team executed plans properly that helped his side clinch victory in the second T20 International match of the series here on Friday.

Sharma led his side from the front and helped India register a massive seven wickets victory against New Zealand to bounce back in the series after defeat in the first encounter.

"Very pleased to see how we bowled and then we were clinical with the bat as well," Sharma said after the match.

"We didn't execute the plans in the first game, we executed them here and got the reward for it. It's important to understand the mistakes we made. We wanted the guys to go out there with a clear mind. We have got quality in our side and we are looking forward to the next game. Hopefully, we can do what we did today," he said.

India outplayed New Zealand by seven wickets in the second T20I match at Eden Park here on Friday.

India leveled the three-match T20I series 1-1.
