Warner dominates first day as Australia post 354 /6

Chris Rogers (9) and Shane Watson (14) returning quickly to the pavilion, Warner and later Steven Smith (72*) made it clear they will give some tough time to the Indian bowlers.

Warner and Clarke added 118 om the third wicket partnership while Smith and Marsh later joined to add 87 runs in the fourth wicket partnership which helped the side go pass the 350-run mark easily at the end of the day.
Tributes were paid to Hughes who was fatally struck in the head by a short-pitched ball on Nov 25 during a domestic match.
Indian bowlers struggled miserably in the match.
Mohammed Shami, Varun Aaron picked up two wickets each while Ishant Sharma and
Karn Sharma, who made his Test debut for the national side, shared a wicket each.
Smith will resume the day's play along with the next batsman after Brad Haddin was out for a duck in the day's final over.
