Virat Kohli scores 9000 runs in ODIs, breaks AB de Villiers record

Kanpur, Oct 29 (IBNS): Indian skipper Virat Kohli completed 9000 runs in ODI during the third ODI match between his side and New Zealand here on Sunday.

"9000 ODI runs for the Skipper #INDvNZ," BCCI tweeted.

At 28, Kohli is one of the youngest players to achieve the milestone.

He also became the fastest cricketer to achieve the milestone.

He broke South African cricketer AB de Villiers record of reaching 9000 runs in ODI in just 205 innings.

Kohli reached it in 194 innings.
