Virat Kohli rested for India's T20I series against Sri Lanka

Mumbai, Feb 1 (IBNS): Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli has been rested for the T20 series against Sri Lanka.

MS Dhoni has been named as the skipper of the side.

After winning the T20 series against Australia 3-0, India will next face Sri Lanka.

The All-India Senior Selection Committee and Women’s Selection Committee met earlier to announce the India teams for the home series against Sri Lanka.

Umesh Yadav has been dropped from the squad while Pawan Negi was named in the 15-men team.

T20I Team (Men): MS Dhoni (Captain), Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Manish Pandey, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, Ashish Nehra, Harbhajan Singh, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Pawan Negi.

Note: Virat Kohli has been rested from the three-match T20I series.

T20I (Women): Mithali Raj (Captain), Smriti Mandhana, Veda Krishnamurthy, Harmanpreet Kaur, Anuja Patil, Jhulan Goswami, Shikha Pandey, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Sushma Verma, Poonam Yadav, VR Vanitha, Sneh Rana, Thirushkamini MD, Ekta Bisht, Niranjana Nagarajan.
