Virat Kohli receives first dose of Covid-19 vaccine
Mumbai/IBNS: Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli took the first dose of anti-Covid-19 vaccine on Monday, as the country is grappling with the surge in infections.
Kohli took to Instagram to share a story where he was seen taking a jab.
He wrote on the story, "Vaccinate as soon as you can please. Stay safe."
Though the Indian skipper is urging people to get vaccinated, there is a massive shortage of vaccines in the country.
Kohli and his actor wife Anushka Sharma, days ago, started a campaign to raise funds for Covid-19 relief.
India recorded 3,66,161 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, a slight dip in the daily count after for the past few days over 4 lakh daily cases were recorded, revealed the Ministry of Health released data on Monday.
During the same period, 3,754 deaths have been reported, as per Ministry of Health released data.
