Kolkata/IBNS: Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli will miss the third T20I to be played at the Eden Gardens here against West Indies as he has opted for a bio-bubble break, which has been granted by the Indian cricket board (BCCI), several media reports claimed.

However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to confirm the source news.

Like the first two, the third T20I match will also be played at the Eden Gardens here on Sunday.

In the second T20I which was won by India last night, Kohli smashed 52 promising a return to his form after a lean run on the crease for a long time.

India have already taken an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match series.

Kohli's break will likely give a window for a new player, maybe Shreyas Iyer, to be a part of the playing XI on Sunday.
