Antigua, July 22 (IBNS): Continuing his rich vein of form against the West Indies, Ravichandran Ashwin scored yet another century, here on Friday, day two of the first Test match.

This is Ashwin's third century of his Test career and against the Caribbean side. He took 237 balls to reach the landmark.

At tea, India are nicely poised at 512 runs for the loss of six wickets.

Ashwin is unbeaten at 106 runs, aided by Amit Mishra, who struck a couple of fours for his unbeaten 23 runs.

Earlier, Indian skipper Virat Kohli departed for 200 runs, perishing in the very first over after lunch as he dragged one on to the stumps off Gabriel.

Ashwin stitched a 71 runs partnership with wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha (40) before the latter was stumped by Shane Dowrich off K Brathwaite, giving the West Indian bowlers something to cheer for.

By virtue of his century, Ashwin equalled Sachin Tendulakar's record of scoring three centuries against the West Indies.
