Tokyo Olympics: Czech Republic's Prskavec wins canoe slalom men's kayak

Tokyo/UNI/Xinhua: World champion Jiri Prskavec won the first men's canoe slalom gold for the Czech Republic with a men's kayak victory at the Tokyo Olympic Games here on Friday.

Qualified first from the semifinals, Prskavec finished in 91.63 seconds with a clean run, pushing Slovakia's Jakub Grigar (94.85) to second by 3.22 seconds.

London 2012 bronze medalist Hannes Aigner of Germany took the bronze in 97.11.
