This is how Rohit Sharma reacted to India's defeat against Australia
Despite piling 208 runs on the scoreboard, India lost to Australia by four wickets in the first T20I match in Mohali Tuesday.
When skipper Rohit Sharma was asked about the reason behind India's loss, he aimed at the bowlers who were a let down Tuesday for the home team.
"I don't think we bowled well. 200 is a good score to defend, and we didn't take our chances in the field.
"It was a great effort from our batters, but the bowlers were quite not there. There are things we need to look at," said a disappointed Rohit Sharma.
Indian allrounder Hardik Pandya's stormy 71 was left with no value as Australia chased down 209 in 19.4 overs.
Cameron Green's 30-ball 61 in the top order and a quick unbeaten 45 by Mathhew Wade made the job easier for the Aussies.
Despite Axar Patel's three wickets, the men-in-blue were beaten by the yellow brigade in the death overs.
Earlier, Pandya slammed an unbeaten knock of 71 off just 31 balls to pump in 208/6 in 20 overs.
KL Rahul's 55 off 35 balls and Suryakumar Yadav's 46 off 25 balls came in handy for India to post the huge total, which was, however, not enough to overpower Australia.
